The Europa Nostra award has been given to Dragør for the persistent and committed work of the citizens to preserve Dragør's old town and harbor for more than 100 years.
The preservation tradition is an intangible cultural heritage in Dragør and has helped to maintain the town's traditional architecture and building practices, as well as a clear awareness and understanding of Dragør's special valuable building culture. It shows the cohesion and the completely unique architectural and cultural heritage that we have in the city.
