Glaspusteriet Glasseriet
At Glaspusteriet Glasseriet, molten glass is transformed into unique works of art, and visitors are invited to watch the process up close, allowing them to experience the magic behind the craft and take a piece of Dragør's creative spirit home with them.
In the middle of Dragør's cobbled streets lies Glasseriet, a lively glassworks created and run by glass artist Rikke Bruzelius. Here you can feel the heat from the furnace, hear the hiss of the pipe and experience the joy of working with your hands. The address is Magstræde 6 in Dragør Gamle By, and the workshop and shop share premises, so guests can follow the process up close and explore shelves filled with unique items, vases, lamps and utility glassware. Glasseriet is open all year round.
The best way to understand the place is to try it out for yourself. Glasseriet organises experiences for stag and hen parties, family days, team building and art associations, where you work with molten glass and blow a colourful glass ball, a drinking glass or a small bowl. It is craftsmanship, warmth and concentration combined in an intense moment, and you take home a personal memory in your bag. Glasseriet works closely with Dragør's cultural life, including as a sales outlet for Museum Amager's annual glass, which emphasises its local roots.
You rarely leave Magstræde empty-handed. A vase in bright colours, a pair of drinking glasses or a unique piece of jewellery quickly becomes a piece of Dragør for your living room. On social media, Glasseriet shares new works and gift ideas and invites you to drop by, and the tone is personal and present. If you have any questions or need a special piece, Rikke is just a phone call or email away. Stop by, feel the warmth from the kiln and see sand transform into something that will last for generations.
