Beghuset hos Peter & Peter
Beghuset at Peter og Peter in Dragør is more than just a restaurant – it is a living house where seasonal ingredients, fine wines and community come together around the table.
Beghuset hos Peter og Peter is located in the middle of Dragør's old town by the harbour, and feels like a house that lives and breathes for its guests. The concept is a Danish-French bistro with seasonal ingredients, often sourced just a few kilometres away. The menu changes, and the dishes of the day are regularly posted on Instagram, so you can be tempted even before you step through the door. For lunch, you will find classics such as a duo of open sandwiches, Toast Dragør with smoked and gravad salmon, and a creamy lobster bisque. In the evening, the menu offers radishes with smoked cheese, arancini with chanterelles, scallop ceviche, Danish crayfish, salmon-stuffed plaice and roast veal tenderloin. Several dishes feature greens from Seerupgaard and potatoes from Fælledgård, giving them a pure flavour and a clear sense of the local area.
The connection between the kitchen and the glass is clear. Fish and shellfish invite crisp white wine, while veal and chanterelles call for a juicy red. The host is happy to talk about wine at the table, and on the first floor there is room for dedicated wine tastings, where food and drink are thought out together, so that the promises of the menu are accompanied by bottles with character.
Beghuset is also a place for community. Here you can take part in communal dining at long tables and meet neighbours and new friends over a shared menu, often with a focus on seasonal ingredients, which creates conversation and smiles. The house also provides a setting for intimate concerts, lectures and private parties, so the atmosphere can change from everyday bistro to party in the space of a week. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and let the glass speak for itself.
